Your bodymind functions as a single synchronicity unit, not as a bundle of performance.
Your body has an inborn, innate ability to heal itself on all levels. For instance, when you cut yourself, your body immediately starts sending specialized cells to coagulate the blood and start forming scar tissue.
So when you sense a pain, tense or stiff area in your body, don’t ignore it but rather gently recognize it and breathe into it by taking a few deeper breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth directing the breath to the part that is giving you discomfort.
Acknowledge, honour and connect to the painful area for what it might be “telling” you. For instance, you might suddenly get an idea of a movement, stretch or a simple change of position that would help ease the pain. Perhaps there is some emotion that you are holding there that can now be released or a lifestyle change will come to mind. Your body is wise, just tune in and listen to its wisdom.
