Examine your fears. Are they real? Or necessary? Many of us acquired fear from our parents, teachers, bosses etc. about the world not being a safe or pleasant place and were subjected to the results of their limiting beliefs- verbal barbs “you’re weak, stupid, sickly, or will never amount to anything” etc. These continue to stab us even as adults. They go into our subconscious and become truths that shape our behaviour and potential. Our subconscious reads environmental signals with no question or judgment-it takes them to be true!
Where in your body do you hold these fears, anxieties, worries? Sit still and take 3 long deep breaths and pay attention to where you feel tension or pain in your body. Question whether these are imposed beliefs or your core truth. Then send messages of wellbeing, healing, love and relaxation to your cells through guided visualization, meditation or affirmations. Take action to clear any negative emotional charges of memory. See the “bigger picture” of your life, a new perspective.
Work on being aware of your fears and then just let them go…out an imaginary door or window that you close for good. Watch for Part 3 in an upcoming blog!
All the modalities I practice have several non-invasive, safe yet highly effective techniques of getting at core issues such as fears and anxieties and disconnect the active memory from your brain, allowing you to relax and empowering you.
