This is exciting! A couple days ago we reached a point of being able to experience the most light possible in a day! A science definition first, then my spiritual persective take on it:
The term solstice is derived from the Latin scientific term solstitium. Containing the Latin sol– meaning “the sun” and sistere meaning “to make stand.” Today the term summer solstice is used to describe the exact moment when the sun reaches its northernmost point (around June 21) from the earth’s equator. Summer lasts from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox, one of two times a year when the sun crosses the plane of the earth’s equator, making night and day approximately equal length. Days lengthen from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, after which they begin to shorten.
My take on it: there are all the known benefits physically and psychologically of longer days, so let’s examine spiritual “inner light”. This is your Soul’s vibrational characteristics of love, peace, harmony, truth, healing and abundance. Are you allowing these qualities to be expressed in your life? They are always there (like the sun is always in the sky) but get clouded with fear, worry, doubt, confusion, anger and more…that simply blocks your awareness of your Soul’s qualtities.
I love helping people “clear the clouds” so their Soul “Light” can be felt and expressed and bring peace and joy back to their life.
